Fast Course

This evening of four 5K races takes place in the heart of Cambridge and is designed with one clear purpose: to provide the fastest athletes with an uncompromising platform to achieve outstanding performances.

Each race is run on a super flat, accurately measured course with wide paths, flowing lines and no aggressive turns. The emphasis is entirely on speed, rhythm and efficiency, allowing athletes to maintain pace from start to finish without interruption.

Scheduled for an April evening, the set of four races is timed to take advantage of cooler spring temperatures, creating optimal racing conditions for high intensity efforts and personal best attempts.

Fast Athletes

The event is aimed at attracting the strongest male and female athletes from across East Anglia and beyond, bringing together fields and competitive racing that consistently delivers times not achievable at less speed focused events.

The series format allows elite runners to specifically target sub 14 performances, while still fully catering for fast masters athletes and club runners seeking qualifying and ranking times in a high quality race environment.

The races are open to senior and masters athletes.
Age eligibility will be in accordance with UK Athletics competition rules for 5K road racing.

Entry

Entries will be available online only.
There will be no entries on the day.

All athletes must register in advance and wear the official race number provided. This is required for safety, insurance and accurate results.

Race Format

Four separate 5K races held across the evening.
Start times and wave structures will be designed to maximise performance and minimise congestion.
