Sleaford Striders Summer 10K 2026

Join us for the ever popular Sleaford Striders Summer 10K, a well established and much loved evening road race set on the quiet country lanes of rural Lincolnshire.

Organised by Sleaford Striders Athletic Club, this accurately measured and UKA licensed 10K offers a friendly atmosphere, excellent marshalling, and a fast but honest course that attracts runners of all abilities year after year.

The Race

The route follows the same course used in previous editions and has been officially measured and certified. It is run on open roads, fully marshalled at junctions and key points to help ensure runner safety throughout.

You can expect a welcoming club event with a strong community feel, supported by experienced volunteers and marshals who are there to help you enjoy your race.

The race will start at 7.00pm, allowing runners to finish comfortably before nightfall.

Course Information

• UKA licensed and accurately measured 10K

• Open road course on quiet country lanes

• Clearly signed and fully marshalled

• Water available just past halfway and at the finish

• Some uneven road surfaces, particularly between 2 and 3km, so care is advised

In line with UKA rules, the use of earphones or portable music devices is not permitted during the race.

Race HQ and Facilities

Race HQ is based at Scredington Community Centre, which will be open from approximately 5.00pm on race evening.

Facilities include:

• Race number and timing chip collection

• Toilets

• Refreshments after the race

The start is a short walk of around five minutes from the community centre and will be clearly signed.

Parking

Competitor parking is available in a nearby grazing field accessed via Poor Garden Road. From there, runners can walk through to the community centre and onwards to the start.

Please follow signage and marshal instructions, respect local residents, and avoid parking within Scredington village itself.

After the Race

Once you cross the finish line, make sure you collect:

• Your medal

• A slice of cake

• A well earned drink of tea, coffee or squash

Results will be announced as soon as possible on the evening, with presentations expected at around 8.30pm.

Results will also be live online once the race starts.
