Join us for a running experience like no other as you take on a 5K or 10K on the historic runway at MOD Woodbridge.

Are you ready to run where aircraft once landed? Suitable for all abilities and open to ages 11+, this unique charity run is perfect to take on with friends, family, colleagues, teammates – or come along and meet new people!

 

When: Race starts at 10:00am, Saturday 5 September 2026. Registration from 09:00am.

What: A 5K or 10K runway run on one of the longest former military airfields in Europe, offering a flat, fast course with a truly unforgettable setting. There will also be a 1.5K Junior race which will set off slightly after the main 5k/10k race begins.

The Woodbridge Runway Run takes place on the iconic 2.7km former RAF runway, once used by US Air Force Cold War aircraft and steeped in aviation history. Today, it provides a rare opportunity to run in a unique and inspiring environment, surrounded by open skies, grassland and woodland.

Whether you are aiming for a personal best, running for fun, or taking part to support a great cause, this event is designed to be inclusive, welcoming and memorable.

Participants will receive:

• A place in the Woodbridge Runway Run 2026
• Free onsite parking
• A safe, well-managed event environment
• The opportunity to support local young people through RAF Air Cadets

By taking part, you will be helping raise funds to support the training, activities and development opportunities provided by 432 (Woodbridge) Squadron RAF Air Cadets, helping young people build confidence, leadership and life skills, and an interest in aviation.
